In 12 weeks participants in the apple cider group lost 8.8 pounds on average. On the other hand, those participants of the study who did not take apple cider vinegar lost only 5 pounds during the 12-week trial period. It was also found in the research that apple vinegar lowers cholesterol levels. [8]

Its antioxidants can protect the body from oxidative damage linked with various ailments and degenerative diseases. For most people, molasses could be a better alternative to refined sugar.

Provide Relief in Constipation

Studies into the effects of molasses on constipation relief in the journal Pediatric Emergency Care have shown that milk and molasses enemas in treating constipation are equally effective as sodium phosphate enemas.

It should also be noted that treatment of constipation with sodium phosphate requires additional care of the rectum. But, after the milk and molasses treatment, it is not required. [15]

0.00 IU of vitamin A, 0.00 mg of vitamin D, 0.0 milligrams of vitamin C, 1464 milligrams of potassium, 4.77 milligrams of iron, and 250 milligrams of Calcium are also present in 100 gram of molasses. [16]
